Riding Bikes!

This weeks blog is a bit short since I posted my long one to catch up on Thursday but none the less we did a lot! Michael took Sandy to the airport on Wednesday. They were picked up at midnight from our house. The drive to the airport is about 45-50 minutes long. He helped her into the airport and made sure she got checked in before saying their goodbyes! He came home, quickly went to sleep since he still had to go to work on Thursday. So on Thursday he had to ride the bus to Dhahran for training. By the time he got home Thursday afternoon he was a wee bit tired. I got a picture of him snoozing but frankly he needed to rest!  Lucky for him Friday's are a much need rest day! I do have to say that I love Friday's around here. They are quiet. We tend to make a big breakfast and relax a good part of the day since all shops are closed outside of camp!

Both girls have learned to ride their bikes! This was a fun process to watch and help with. It took Macey only two days before she figured out the pattern! Caley took a little bit longer and was riding her trike very well so we talked to her and told her it was the same motion. She kept putting on the brakes and would say "I can't do it!" We worked with her and she finally figured it out! She would say "Look at me, I can do it!"  So after Michael gets home from work the girls ask "Can we go on a bike ride?" Our first attempt out was comical! Macey and Michael made it all the way to the surf house while Caley and I only made it to the corner of the board walk. Caley sees sand and has to get off her bike to play in it! So here she is playing in the sand!
She'll hate me for the picture below one day!

Here is Macey and Michael on their way back from the surf house!

The two pictures below are blurry but that is because we were all moving but gives you an idea of us biking together as a family! Fun times!!!

We have since only gone biking one other time. We decide to see if the girls could ride all the way to the commissary! They did fabulous and there wasn't one complaint from either one of them! We were gone from the house probably close to two and half hours. Now, we weren't riding the whole time! We did stop to get a few things at the commissary, let the girls have a snack and stopped to talk to a friend on our way home! Oh and there was the stopping to play at the playground and the collecting of some seashells! All in all we had a blast and look forward to many more bike rides together is this weather of ours gets a little warmer and stops raining!

On Thursday, I got a ring at the door and it was a couple of guys from gardening. I've called a couple of time to have a tree cut back but was told the gardening would call to schedule a time to do it. I was surprised to see them since I had not got a call. We had one tree that was on our roof plus scraping the awning( that we eventually want to screen in). So here is what they cut down. Macey is in the middle of the picture to give you and idea as to how much they cut down!

Oh the messy toy closet. I swear we pick it up all the time only for the girls to go play in there and destroy what we picked up! Here is Caley playing in the kitchen instead of play at the kitchen! Silly girl!

For Christmas the girls got several Halloween costumes to play dress-up with. Here is our cute Bat girl!!!

I do have to say that this was one of the days that we went on a bike ride. Macey refused to take her bat girl costume off. So she wore the boots, her mickey pj's , the costume and her helmet! I didn't get a picture but she looked pretty silly but she loved her cape flying in the back as she rode her bike!

As I post this today, today is Gammy's birthday. So, we are wishing screaming "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GAMMY!

Until next time!
